About us

DohaTweetups is an online community that regularly hosts offline events. It is the ONLY regular social event in Doha that brings
together people from all different nationalities, religions, backgrounds and professions.

DohaTweetups was started by Bilal Randeree in early 2010 with Hani Arif when he moved to Qatar. It went from a few people at the back room of a local coffeeshop, to a community of a few thousand people and growing.

Everyone is welcome to join DohaTweetups - all it takes is to follow us on Twitter or like our page on Facebook, and you will be informed of events as we plan them.

We host at least one event every month, and these see as many as 300 people getting together for socialising and networking – not to mention the interesting, informative (& sometimes entertaining) presentations that are on offer.

There are two formats of a DohaTweetup:

- a basic networking event that just brings people together
- a themed event that has up to 3 presentations from members of the
community. The idea is to highlight local talent, providing a platform
that is not otherwise available.
